Access to clean water will always be one of our main targets to achieve. Clean, safe water is a bare essential. Even today people in Cambodia are still drinking polluted water of pools and lakes. Therefore we extended our working area to the entire province Kampot. Our goal until now has been 50 wells. Thanks to your support we were able to already build 15 wells in April 2007. We investigated possible new locations ourselves. For further information read "news".
The average cost price of a well is 150 euro (depending upon the contractor) This project is tax-deductible for all amounts above 30 Euro on the special account number of the Koning Boudewijnstichting.

Ruan and I chose the locations of the wells ourselves. A few parameters were important to us. At least 10 families would have to be able to make use of the well. The region had to be very dry and the distance to water before the wells were installed had to be several miles. |
